President Pahor holds talks with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr Borut Pahor, today hosted a working meeting with the German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier. President Pahor and Dr Steinmeier agreed that bilateral relations are excellent, as Slovenia and Germany have built up very good economic cooperation and an excellent working relationship within the European Union and share similar views on key political issues. The talks focused on the situation in the Western Balkans and the conflict in Ukraine.

After the meeting, President Pahor and Minister Steinmeier welcomed a group of visitors touring the Presidential Palace on International Labour Day in the Crystal Hall. The Office of the President of the Republic traditionally opens its door to visitors on all public holidays. The German Minister congratulated the visitors on this special day. He trusted that they would enjoy the open day at the Presidential Palace and wished them all the best for the future.
