President Pahor prior to tomorrow's summit Prague European Summit with the Czech President Zeman

Tomorrow, Tuesday 13 July 2021, the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, will attend this year's Prague European Summit, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Europeum think tank, which takes place in Prague from 12 to 14 July.

President Pahor will be the keynote speaker. President Pahor will reiterate his invitation to active participation in the Conference on the Future of Europe. In a series of discussions lead under the title of "Let's talk about Europe", he met young summit participants and talked to them about their views of the European Union.

President Pahor is this year's recipient of the Vision for Europe award, which has been awarded since 1995 and has previously been presented to the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker, the first President of the European Central Bank Wim Duisenberg and others.

President Pahor will be awarded the Vision for Europe award for his efforts towards a more integrated and democratic Europe.

Later, President Pahor met with President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman.

The Czech president welcomed the Slovenian president with military honours at the Lany estate. The presidents discussed the COVID-19 epidemic and its impact on the political, economic and social situation. They also exchanged views on the European Union's relations with other countries.
