President Pahor met with President of the Republic of Croatia Grabar-Kitarović

Ljubljana, 12. 2. 2020 | press release

Today, President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor held a working and informal meeting with President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović. This was her last farewell foreign visit.

The presidents had a working lunch at the Presidential Palace and issued a short statement for the media beforehand. To close the meeting, the presidents visited the "peace bench" which they opened on 23 June 2016 at Ljubljana Castle alongside the memorial of the Croatian-Slovenian peasant revolt.

Today's meeting represented the final touch to their comprehensive cooperation. Their meetings and communication were especially important after Croatia's unilateral decision to withdraw from the Arbitration Agreement as they maintained a dialogue between the countries and good relations in all fields, except regarding the issue of respecting the ruling of the arbitration court.
